Inter Allies started brilliantly when Victorien Adebayor coolly slotted from the penalty spot in the fifteenth minute after Desmond Abuga was brought down in the box.
The goal spurred Allies on and could have increased the tally but Samuel Armah’s effort on goal missed the pole by inches.
Again, goalkeeper Fatau Dauda denied the Allies forwards a chance to double their lead as the Royals went into the break a goal down.
An improved performance from Legon Cities FC saw the Royals seeking an equalizer early on in the second half but were met with a stiff opposition.
Their probe was finally rewarded when they received their own penalty in the 70th minute which was expertly converted by in-form Jabila Abdul Karim.
Both sides could have added to their tally but none of their efforts found the back of the net despite four minutes of additional time.
