Glorious Hearts of Oak snatched a vital away point in a scoreless draw against defending League champions Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu I park in Dormaa.

It is the second time the Capital-based outfit have played out a nil all draw in four days, following their 0-0 draw against Ashanti Gold SC at home.

Coach Edward Nii Odoom made a single change to his squad that drew against the Obuasi-based club drafting in hard working midfilder Benjamin Afutu for Nurudeen Abdul Aziz.

The game did not fail to live up to expectation as a ding-dong battle ensued in the opening minutes with Aduana Stars looking the most dangerous troubling Richard Atta in post for Hearts.

Hearts came close to opening the scoring when Joseph Esso blasted his free-kick wide off the post.

A few minutes later referee George Vormawah blew his whistle for a water break which was triggered by the extreme heat in Dormaa.

The start of the second half was not as frenetic as that of the first half with Richard Atta the busiest of the two sides.

After 75 minutes the referee whistled once again for a water break. A few minutes later a carpet cross from Fatawu Mohammed missed the boots of an on-rushing Kofi Kordzi.

Emmanuel Nettey came closest after he was teed off by Kofi Kordzi but saw his effort go over the bar.

An additional five minutes was not enough to break the deadlock as both teams settled for nil all scoreline.

The Phobians became the first side to hold Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu I park this season after going a four-game winning run.
