The global pandemic which began in Wuhan, China has caused reverberations in unprecedented fashion halting all forms of public gathering especially sports.

The ripple effects of COVID-19 has forced the delay of the 2020 United Soccer League season by a minimum of two weeks as they await the containment of the highly-contagious pandemic.

Boateng joined Richmond Kickers from Sogakope-based West Africa Football Academy on a loan deal in March last year and has since gone on to become an integral member of the USL League One side.
