The president of Glow-lamp Soccer Academy and ex-Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey today, distributed dozens of hand sanitizers to his players after announcing an indefinite suspension of training.

In the wake of the highly-contagious coronavirus, all football related activities in the country has been suspended by the Ghana Football Association leading to many football clubs breaking camp until further notice.

The academy has been in camp since the beginning of the year in preparation of the Central Regional Second Division league which was scheduled to kick off tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday but had to be suspended indefinitely as a result of the outbreak of the novel COVID-19 pandemic.

The former Anderlecht player admonished his players to stay safe and observe the various precautionary measures outlined by the Ghana Health Service and make sure they return home coronavirus-free.

Odartey like many other football enthusiasts prayed for the quick return of football in the country.
