Godfred Yeboah, formerly of Asante Kotoko has advised Dr Kwame Kyei to resign from his position as the Executive Chairman of the club.

The Porcupine Warriors have endured a period of internal woes with damning accusations from various quarters flying on the local media landscape.

Yeboah, who built a cult-following during his spell at the club has urged the business magnate to step down to avoid the looming embarrassments which awaits the club.

“Dr. Kwame Kyei has done his best so he must leave the stage when the applause is high, he was a wealthy person before coming to Kotoko so he shouldn’t wait for things to mess up before taking a decision,” TV3 told Kumasi-based OTEC FM.

“There are a lot of things happening under his administration which is too bad for his image. I can’t decide for him but he can resign if he thinks things are going worse” he concluded.

Dr Kwame Kyei, a business mogul and an enthusiast of the Porcupine Warriors was given the mandate to steer the affairs of the club by the king of the Ashanti kingdom, Otumfour Osei Tutu II for an initial period of three years in 2016.

The Chief Executive of Unity Group of companies, was tasked by the revered king to reshape the administrative structure of the club to infuse professionalism and competence at all levels.
