Avid Asante Kotoko supporter and former management member, Benjamin Nti has leaped to the defence of the Dr Kwame Kyei-led administration and has told agitated fans they don’t have the locus to demand for accountability.

The phenomenon of agitation at the club in the third year of the club’s Executive Chairman has raised its ugly head once again, with calls for the resignation of Dr Kwame Kyei as the club chief intensifying by the day.

Calls for accountability has been rife with former management member of the club, David Serebour fronting the call but Benjamin Nti, also a former member of the management has told supporters they lack the locus to make such calls.

Benjamin Nti – Former management member of Asante Kotoko

“Nobody advises Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the only people I know of is his council of elders which means as supporters we have no locus to tell Otumfuo to ask Dr Kwame Kyei to account for his tenure at Kotoko” he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

“I have heard Serebour on Oyerepa FM that he’s ready to foot the bill for Dr Kyei to be audited, that’s same thing he did to Dr KK Sarpong and later apologized.

“These are reasons he resigned from Kotoko. These things are unhealthy.

“The club is for his royal majesty and it beholds on him to take any decision at anytime. Who knows? The audit work might be ongoing” he concluded.
