Midfield maestro Rashid Nortey has eulogized Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale describing the eccentric musician as a motivator.

The midfield fulcrum whose game numbers was curtailed by injuries returned in swashbuckling form for Medeama only for the league to be put on hold due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

Speaking to Joy FM’s Gary Al-Smith in an interview, Nortey intimated that he observes a regular ritual of playing music from the Dancehall king before every game.

“I think Shatta Wale’s music always motivates me. I will tell my fellow team mates not to look down on Shatta Wale.

“He [Shatta Wale] is an artiste who propagates the truth and motivates the youth and helps us to achieve our aim. To me, I think Shatta Wale is a motivator” he concluded.

Rashid Nortey who recently extended his stay at the Tarkwa-based outfit for three more years will have to wait for quite some time to play his favorite Shatta Wale tracks before a game in the Ghana Premier League, which has been suspended due to country’s increasing cases of COVID-19.
