President of New Edubiase, Abdul Salam Yakubu has taken a swipe at sports journalists casting aspersions on Dr Kwame Kyei, arguing they won’t be able to survive when managing Kotoko for a single day.
The club and its Executive Chairman has been reaped apart by some section of the media, who argue the business magnate is incompetent and is to blame for the recent woes of the Porcupine Warriors.
The backlash has led to some sports journalists employing derogatory comments to describe the Dr Kwame Kyei-led administration.
Speaking on the matter, New Edubiase president, Abdul Salam Yakubu took a swipe at journalists and urged them to desist from casting aspersions on Dr Kyei.
“Even if Asante Kotoko is given to journalists to manage the team just for just a day, they won’t survive. I believe they will run away” he told Kumasi-based Ashh FM.
“I don’t know why some journalists always cast aspersions at this noble man on radio. I deem such as malicious desire to run him down and not to criticise him constructively.
“I admonish journalists to stick to the ethics of this noble profession and be fair in their reportage” he concluded.
