Tough-talking Hearts of Oak icon Bernard Dong Bortey has revealed he will coach the Black Stars in the future.

The former Ghapoha and Hearts of Oak star was a delight to watch during his heydays in the Ghana Premier League, scoring ‘worldies’ in rampant fashion and was touted to become a key player for the Black Stars but failed to reach the heights expected of him with the national team.

Bortey wants to make amends for not reaching his fullest potential by coaching the senior national team in the future.

“I don’t regret playing football, trust me, Bernard Dong Bortey will one day coach the Senior National Team [Black Stars] . – Bernard Dong Bortey told Kumasi-based Ashh FM.

The Black Stars is currently managed by former Wolfsburg skipper Charles Kwabla Akonnor, who suceeded Kwesi Appiah formerly of Asante Kotoko and Bortey wants to walk in their footsteps.
