Black Stars head coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor has expressed his delight at the return of forward Raphael Dwamena, after seven months of injury lay-off.
The on-loan UD Levante striker was ruled out indefinitely after suffering an unspecified heart problem in October 2019 which threatened to curtail his career.
At the start of the year – January 2020 – he successfully underwent a surgery and was expected to be sidelined for at least a month.
Although he didn’t return in a months time, the good news is that he resumed training this month with Real Zaragoza.
Voicing his sheer happiness of the striker’s return, C. K. Akonnor took to his Twitter handle to celebrate his return.
I have been there before and it is not easy for a young player to go through what @RaphaelDwamena went through, had a chat with him and I’m happy to see him back in training
