Togbe Afede XIV, board chairman of Capital-based powerhouse Accra Hearts of Oak, donated to Dr Sheikh Osman Sharubutu – National Chief Imam – ahead of the Ramadan celebrations.

The president of the national house of chiefs together with his entourage which comprise Alhaji Akanbi made the presentation yesterday ahead of the Ramdan celebrations which comes after the holy month – the month set aside for 30-day fasting for all Muslims.

The spiritual exercise commenced on Thursday, April 23, 2020, in the country amid the ban on all social gathering in the wake of the novel coronavirus – which means Muslims across the country will not congregate at various mosques for prayers. The exercise is expected to end on May 23, 2020.

The donation included bags of rice, bags of sugar, among a host of others. Alhaji Abdul Rahman Issaka, board member of Pioneer Kitchen Ware and Alhaji Amadu Moro Brimah (Akanbi), Hearts board member did the presentation.
