Jackson Owusu ‘Akwasi Motor’, formerly of Asante Kotoko has rubbished reports of being locked up in Kenya over unpaid hotel bills amid the Coronavirus spread.

Reports in Kenya which infiltrated the local media landscape revealed that the midfield enforcer was locked up in his hotel, Jimlizer Hotel for failing to settle his hotel bills totaling $6,000 (GHS 30,000).

Jackson, 31, who joined the reigning Kenyan champions Gor Mahia from Lebanese club Tadamon SC has since denied the reports describing it as false.

“There is no truth in the news circulated that I have being detained by any hotel not to move out, I move freely from my hotel to other places”

“No iota of truth in anything”I can’t best tell whether my team Gor Mahia is owing the hotel, I don’t know the arrangement between the two parties”, he told Kumasi-based Ashh FM in an interview.

He continued: “My Mum in Ghana upon hearing this wouldn’t be happy at all, she will be disturbed.”
