Former Asante Kotoko goal monger Eric Kwabena Bekoe has expressed his disagreement with many school of thought which hold Dr Kwame Kyei responsible for the woes of the club.

The three-year reign of the business mogul can best be described as bitter-sweet with successes chalked on the field marred by avoidable administration lapses.

Both fans and pundits alike have fingered Dr Kyei’s poor leadership approach as the genesis behind the club’s woes with many calling for his sack.

The heights of the said woes reached the ceiling in the club’s legal tussle with Tunisian outfit Esperance which has since forced the sole shareholder and life patron of the club, Otumfour Osei Tutu II to constitute a three-member committee to investigate the affairs of the club.

In an interview with Kumasi-based media outlet Light FM, the former sharp shooting forward of the club posited,

“I will never agree with anyone saying Dr. Kwame Kyei is Kotoko’s problem, I haven’t chopped his money before but let’s call a spade a spade,”

He however implored the National Circles Council and management to bury the hatchet and forge a common front.

“The circles should unite themselves for their qualities to be felt.”
