Tough-talking tactician Mallam Yahaya has taken a swipe at bankroller of New Edubiase, Abdul Salam Yakubu over his recent comments on African coaches.

The New Edubiase owner reckoned African coaches come no where near their European counterparts and it comes as no surprise to him that it reflects in the sort of players (strikers) produced on the continent.

He further stated he does not see any African country winning the world cup.

His comments has sparked rage in his former employee in the mould of the outspoken Mallam Yahaya.

Yahaya contends the New Edubiase scribe is among the reasons why football development in the country has stalled.

“Abdul Salam Yakubu is one of the reasons why Ghana football is not developing. He managed the national team [Black Meteors] same way he manages his New Edubiase team,” he told Takoradi based Kingdom 107.5FM.

He continued: “The state of New Edubiase speaks of how incompetent Abdul Salam Yakubu is,” a blunt Mallam Yahaya retorted.

Yahaya was appointed as the assistant coach of Ghana Premier League outfit Karela United a few months ago as the team sought a new Technical direction following Enos Adepah’s underwhelming stint with the Pride and Passion side.
