The Ghana Football Association is set to announce the Referees Manager today, according to latest intelligence gathered by Nhyira FM sports journalist Bismark Owusu Bempah ‘Ayala’.

It will be recalled that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced the vacancy for the position of Referees Manager a few months ago however an age limit set for the position prevented the football association from getting a successful candidate thereby reopening the vacancy for the post without any age limit.

The airing of the Anas exposè revealed the many flaws in the refereeing department and thus forcing the current administration to form a new structure to ensure the separation of personnel in the various functions of refereeing in Ghana with a manager in charge.

The Refereeing Department, whose responsibility includes providing administrative support and assistance to the Referees Committee, will be headed by the Referees Manager, who reports to the General Secretary of the GFA.

According to respected sports analyst, Bismark Owusu Bempah popularly known as ‘Ayala’ the federation will announce the Referees Manager today.

We wait to see the face that will lead an expected transformation in a department that has seen its reputation in the eye of the public brutally damaged.
