President of Division One League outfit Unity FC, Mr Richmond Osei has revealed every club in the second tier will have to cough out $100 (GHS 576.50) in order to run tests for every player when football resumes.
The return of football in Germany has sparked a revival in many nations who had suspended their leagues amid the coronavirus pandemic with the belief football could resume at least behind closed doors.
But the price to pay for football to resume is no child’s play and could cost a fortune to play football behind closed doors. Ghana has not been left with the fate of the 2019-2020 campaign undecided.
But according to the president of Unity FC the GFA medical team apprised him that it will take each club in the second tier $100 to test each player for the novel coronavirus per the latest intelligence gathered by Kumasi-based Fox FM.
