Public Relations Manager at StarTimes, Eli Kondoh quizzes Ghana’s readiness to resume football activities amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Germany’s bravery to restart the Bundesliga following months of suspension due to the coronavirus outbreak has seen football-loving fans excited about the return of their favorite sport.

This act of bravery has sparked the spirit of belief across the globe with many bracing themselves to return to action but the resumption comes at a cost – which is of course not child’s play.

Many pundits have admonished the Ghana Football Association to chart a similar path but Television presenter and Public Relations Manager at StarTimes thinks the country is not ready in terms of resource and infrastructure.

“Germany has the resources and infrastructure ,In Ghana we can’t guarantee enough test kits for footballers only before and after matches. They test every 2 weeks but here can we do same with 18 premier league clubs” he queried on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

The Ghana FA are yet to take a concrete decision on the fate of the 2019-2020 campaign and have given themselves up till the end of June to bring finality to the subject matter.
