Politician cum business magnate, Bernard Antwi Boasiako has revealed his intentions of investing in football and believes his ilk can make the sport lucrative and attractive.

Mr. Boasiako, popularly known in the political landscape as Chairman Wontumi is the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). He also owns one of the infant media outlets making inroads since their establishment – Wontumi Radio and Wontumi TV.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio, the loud politician announced his intention of investing in domestic football.

“I am ready to invest in Ghana Football, am a business man and ready to do more to make our football comeliness. I nearly bought Kessben Fc now Medeama SC but Ashanti Regional Chairmanship for New Patriotic Party hindered me from buying it,”

He further announced what he will do if the opportunity arrives for him to be named as a Chief Executive Officer.

“If am to become a club Chief Executive Officer, I will make sure I bring in quality players with skills, intelligence with good height to make my club the best,”

“Ghana Football needs people with charisma and rich personalities like me, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Kwame Despite, Ofori Sarpong and more business mogul to run our football, we are those that can make our football big and interesting for people to patronise,” he ended.
