Asante Kotoko legend Malik Jabir has expressed his readiness to apply for the Technical Directorate role at the Kumasi-based giants.

The life patron and owner of the club, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, has instructed the club not to sign players for a season as a measure to check the player attrition whiles there have been suggestions to appoint a technical director to supervise the transfer policy of the club to forestall the event of mass purchase of players.

Availing himself for the role, former coach Malik Jabir expressed his readiness to assume the technical director role.

“I’m ready to apply for the Technical Directorate job,” he told Kumasi-based Ashh FM.

“If I’m given the job I will make sure to promote four players from the Youth team to the senior team every year,” he said.

The Porcupine Warriors, since the inauguration of the nine-member board of directors have embarked on various initiatives to ensure the club is restored to its proper position on the continent as well as consolidate their dominance domestically.
