The board of directors of Ghana Premier League side, Asante Kotoko have informed favorite for the Chief Executive Officer role, Nana Yaw Amponsah they will get back to him in a month’s time.
Since the inauguration of the nine-member board of directors led by the erstwhile Executive Chairman, Dr Kwame Kyei are leaving no stone unturned to transform the Porcupine Warriors into an enviable entity that will consolidate their relevance on the domestic scene as well as return to their glory days on the continent.
Top on their list is to appoint a Chief Executive Officer blessed with administration know-how interlaced with a touch of professionalism – this has seen many vouching for Phar Rangers financier, Nana Yaw Amponsah owing to his refine nature and his in-depth knowledge in growing the game.
Reports were rife on an imminent announcement of his appointment as the replacement for George Amoako but it appears the board have asked for a month to finalize their decision following a mind blowing presentation by Nana Yaw Amponsah on his plans for the club should he land the role, per information reaching Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
It will come as a shock to many in the football caucus should the infant nine-member board of directors elude Nana Yaw Amponsah to choose another person for the top job.
