The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has taken a decision to cancel the 2019/2020 football season following a marathon meeting on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the GFA Secretariat in Accra.

The 2019-2020 football season was as its burgeoning stages when the novel coronavirus surfaced forcing a suspension of the season back in March in respect to the president’s directives in curbing the spread of the global pandemic.

Club owners in the mould of Alhaji Karim Grunsah and Mickey Charles never hid their Clarion call for the annulment of the season whiles their ilk were indifferent about the destiny of the league as the waited for the appointed time given by the football association to decide the fate of the season.

The long-awaited judgement day meeting sufficed for longer hours than anticipated but the final decision was never in doubt as the obvious was communicated though the Ghana FAs official Twitter handle.

We await on the GFA for further details.
