Board Member of Kumasi-based powerhouse, Asante Kotoko Joseph Yaw Adu has been appointed as the acting Chief Executive Officer of the club, according to reports.
The nine-member board of directors which was increased to twelve after further additions by Otumfour Osei Tutu II – club owner – have been engrossed in searching for a new CEO following the dissolution of the George Amoako-led management.
Phar Rangers financier, Nana Yaw Amponsah was heavily tipped to assume the hot seat but his inability to be secretive per the assertion of the personal assistant to the Manhyia Chief of staff, he has been ruled out of the race.
Meanwhile, Frederick Acheampong formerly of Ashgold has also been linked to the role whiles a number of fine brains have literally run away from the job.
However, per reports making rounds in the local media landscape suggest an acting CEO has been appointed by the board – who have asked for a month to come out with a substantive man for the job.
