Since the inauguration of the nine-member board of directors which was later beefed up to twelve, they have been engrossed in searching for a Chief Executive Officer to run the club after the dissolution of the George Amoako-led management.

Whiles most names associated to the coveted role have ruled themselves out, Nana Kwasi Darlington is on the opposite lane as he made advancements despite being tied with one-time MTN FA Cup winners Bechem United.

“It will be good for me to apply for the Asante Kotoko job but you need not apply but rather have to be approached. I have a lot of assignment at Bechem but wouldn’t be bad to join [Asante Kotoko],” he told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.

He also took time to outline his strengths as the club seeks to pay particular attention at the club’s defunct or non-existing academy.

“My strong side is player marketing and I can help to build their academy.”

The board of directors have disclosed that a name for the Kotoko Chief Executive Officer role will be made public when the Professor Lydia Nkansah-led committee completes their works. Meanwhile, Joseph Yaw Adu has been appointed as acting CEO of a five-member stop-gap management team.
