Former Fuenlabrada winger, Yaw Annor has rendered an unqualified apology to Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu.

The former Bechem United signed for Asante Kotoko’s regional rivals Ashgold on Wednesday July 8 2020 despite the Porcupine Warriors expressing profound interest in him.

He even trained with the Reds before football related activities were put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Annor, in an interview with Kumasi FM, apologized for choosing Ashgold ahead of the Porcupine Warriors despite coach Maxwell Konadu showing interest in him.

“I want to apologize sincerely to coach Maxwell Konadu for opting to sign for Ashantigold, it wasn’t my fault to do this. He needed me badly at Kotoko but I’m sorry for disappointing him,”

“Though the deal couldn’t go through but I’m confident of succeeding at Ashantigold and I’m hopeful I will return to Asante Kotoko,” he ended.

The tricky winger is expected to beef the attacking machinery of Ashgold as they seek to improve on their dismal performance on the continent next season.
