The sports apparel is headlined by celebrated Ghanaian parathlete Raphael Botsyo Nkegbe; this is the latest venture by the standout wheelchair basketball player.
Nkegbe has represented Ghana at the Para Olympics three times and has secured qualification to the postponed Tokyo Olympics in what is a record setting fourth Olympic appearance no Ghanaian has recorded.
The apparel is designed by UK based company Pokoo with some input from the popular sports personality, Ghana’s leading basketball portal gathers.Some of the items set to be released in the coming weeks includes tracksuits, sports bags, and track shorts with a touch of Ghanaian design.
Nkegbe’s famous stance at the start line of races, incorporated into his logo, is firmly emblazoned at varied points on the respective sports clothes.Basketballghana also gathers money made from the sale was initially planned to fund wheelchair sports events in Ghana had it been launched last year but with the Olympics close, sales are planned to fund Nkegbe’s preparations for the Games.
