Technical Director of Ghanaian top flight side Inter Allies, Willie Klutse has confirmed prized asset Victorien Adebayor is on the brink of securing a deal overseas.
Adebayor lighted the Ghanaian top flight in the annulled 2019-2020 football season with his wizardry set of skills accompanied with his penchant for scoring goals that will satisfy YouTubers and leave supporters drooling.
His consistent performance for Inter Allies pricked the interest of the country’s big wigs who wanted to snatch him after his magic wand had a telling effect on them whiles clubs from overseas were also not left out of the suitors banging on the doors of the Accra-based club.
But it appears the Nigerien forward is close to an agreement with HB Køge after talks were opened last week.
“Adebayor will not be returning to Ghana because he is currently in negotiations with a club in Denmark for a transfer move. Talks are far advanced between the two clubs and the deal will happen”, Inter Allies Technical Director, Willie Klutse told Happy FM.
Adebayor’s move he stated will ease the financial burden on the club as his wages were too high.
“He is a professional player so his contract and conditions were very high. He does not stay in our clubhouse. We rented an apartment for him together with his family. Now we are not playing football we cannot keep him because his wages are too much so it’s good that we let him go”.
“We provided everything for him to deliver and that is what you are supposed to do when you have such a top player in your team”.
He added that Adebayor played for Inter Allies because he believed it was a club to help him secure a deal in Europe.
