Former Ghana youth star, Kennedy Ashia has chided the organizers of the Ghanaian top flight hailing the Ethiopian Premier League as a well-branded league.

It is an undisputed fact that the West African nation is awashed with talents across the length and breadth of the country. However, one anathema which has bedevilled the country’s top flight is the high rate of player exodus.

Many connoisseurs of the game have fingered poor player welfare as the reason for the mass player exodus. Buttressing the point, former Liberty Professionals forward Kennedy Ashia told Sikka FM:

“Ghana is blessed with talent but the Ethiopian League is lucrative than the Ghana Premier League. Their League is well branded,”

He further disclosed his current deal in Ethiopia has expired but two offers are in the offing as he weighs his options.

“My contract has elapsed with Welwalo Adigrat University FC and my agents are working to get me a new club. Two clubs have shown interest.”
