Ghanaian midfielder Rabiu Mohammed has begun trials with Norwegian top flight side IK Start as he seeks to secure a contract.

According to Graphic Sports Online,the onetime Black Stars midfield anchor landed in Norway a few days ago to undergo a two-week trial with IK Start as he eyes a contract.

Rabiu Mohammed, a member of the Black Satellites team that clinched the 2009 FIFA u20 World Cup, last played for lower tier side Paris FC in the French Ligue 2 – where he mustered 14 appearances and notched one goal.

Should a deal suffice for the 30-year-old lanky anchorman, he would be teaming up with former Black Stars B skipper Isaac Twum and ex-Inter Allies Nigerian midfielder Afeez Areemu at the Norwegian outfit.

The former Liberty Professionals player is currently valued at €400,000 on transfermarkt
