Nigerian youngster Ugochukwu Iwu made the Armenian Premier league team of the week for the first time this season after assisting FC Urartu in defeating Alashkert FC on Sunday.

The 2-1 win ensured that FC Urartu moved up to the first position on the league table with 7 points in 4 games, Iwu on Sunday assisted FC Urartu’s the all-important second goal in the 69th minute at the Urartu Stadium. That performance ensured that he makes the team of the week for Match-day 4.

The 20-year-old played an instrumental role and made an assist, Iwu also made an important defensive tackle for FC Urartu in the course of the game.

Iwu saw 79 minutes before he was replaced by Gor Lulukyan.

He joined FC Urartu Yerevan on a one year deal from Lori Football Club earlier this year.
