Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad has not joined Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea on a season-long loan, a source close to the custodian has told Sportscorna.com.

The young shot-stopper was widely reported to have rejoined the Bibiries on a season-long loan following his successful stint with the Blues in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League, which was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, a trusted source close to the former Black Starlets custodian debunked the widespread reports when approached by Sportscorna.com.

The source further stated Berekum Chelsea were not in the race to secure the services of Danlad, as he nears another loan spell following the intense competition in the Kotoko goalkeeping department which comprises SWAG local player of the year, Felix Annan and Black Meteors goalie Kwame Baah not forgetting Black Stars shot-stopper Razak Abalora, who has reportedly signed for the Porcupine Warriors.
