Head coach of the senior men’s national team, Charles Kwabla Akonnor has outlined his plans before he assembles his squad for the next assignment in November.
The 46-year-old trainer had to wait several months to make his bow as Black Stars head coach in this month’s international friendlies where he picked up an emphatic win against Asian Champions Qatar and an embarrassing defeat to Mali to wrap up his first games as coach of the national team.
Speaking to GFA Media, CK Akonnor revealed his plans from now until his next game next month, were the Black Stars will face Sudan in a double header.
“Well, I will have the chance to watch some games with our current squad and of course my assistant will also have his role to play in terms of our local guys,”
He also divulged his assistant, David Duncan will pay exclusive attention to players on the domestic scene as the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League kicks start next month.
“He will work on players in the local League when the season starts and I believe that the day we assemble the squad, we would have done a good job interns of bringing the right players on board.”
