Erstwhile Aduana Stars attacker Zakaria Mumuni has debunked reports linking him to a move to Asante Kotoko.
The 23-year-old, whose two-year stay with Kinshasa based club AS Vita Club will be ending in January 2021 was heavily linked with a move to the Porcupine Warriors as they seek to augment their squad for the upcoming Ghana Premier League and CAF Champions League.
The winger has been brilliant for the “Black Dolphins” since joining them in January 2019 warming himself into the hearts of the Vita Club faithfuls.
When quizzed about the authenticity of the reports, Mumuni told Kumasi-based media outlet Light FM:
“I don’t know where the news is coming from that I am coming to play for Kotoko. AS Vita Club gave me a break to come and look after my wife who had just given birth so those reports are completely false.”
Asante Kotoko however made enquiries about him but he still has 3-months left on his contract with AS Vita club, where they are trying to renew his deal while the services of the winger is also been chased by a unnamed Spanish club.
He joined the Congolese giants as a free agent following the contract expiration at Dormaa-based club Aduana Stars in 2019 after his eye catching display against the same opponents in CAF Confederations Cup – two seasons ago.
