New acquisition Godfred Kwadwo Asamoah is raring to go for Tarkwa-based Medeama SC in the upcoming new season, which kick starts next month.

The two-time Ghanaian FA Cup winners announced the capture of the nimble-footed attacker yesterday as they beef up their squad ahead of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

Asamoah joined the Mauves and Yellow after opting against renewing his stay with Techiman Eleven Wonders – where he was impressive for the side in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League campaign.

He mustered 12 games, scoring one and assisting two while annexing one NASCO man-of-the-match award.

“It’s a great feeling to be part of this fantastic club and I hope to contribute immensely to the club’s much desire project. I look forward to meeting the coach, his backroom staff and my colleagues to start working for this great club.

“I can promise the fans that I will give everything for the badge to bring us success and trophies this season. I want to thank everyone who has helped in ensuring I become part of this wonderful group of people.

“I hope to work hard and repay the confidence and trust of coach Samuel Boadu and everyone at Medeama. I can’t wait to justify the trust on the pitch.” Asamoah told the club’s website.

Meanwhile the club announced a lucrative sponsorship package from Goldfields Ghana Limited worth a whopping $300,000 earlier this week.
