Skipper and shot-stopper of Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko, Felix Annan is set to be out of action for weeks.

Felix, suffered a knee injury in the dying embers of his side’s match day two clash against Berekum Chelsea over the weekend.

The reigning SWAG Local Player of the year fell awkwardly in an aerial duel as Berekum Chelsea chased an equalizer.

He was replaced by Black Meteors goalkeeper Kwame Baah, who conceded late in the game as the Porcupine Warriors shared the spoils with Berekum Chelsea.

Felix will be out of action for four to five weeks after he underwent a scan yesterday.

His injury status invariably rules him out of Asante Kotoko’s upcoming CAF Champions League preliminary tie on Friday against Mauritanian side Nouadhibou and other league matches.

The Porcupine Warriors do have capable replacements for Annan in the mould of Kwame Baah and Ibrahim Danlad.

However Black Stars custodian Razak Abalora is also ruled out due to COVID-19 pandemic.
