Ghana international Latif Atta Blessing and his Los Angeles FC team-mates were dumped out of the MLS Cup playoff after they were trounced 3-1 in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Goals from Lodeiro, Ruidiaz and Morris thwarted that of Atuesta as Seattle Sounders breezed past Los Angeles FC at the Lumen Field.
Uruguayan midfielder Nicolas Lodeiro broke the deadlock after 18 minutes to put home side in the lead. Three minutes later former Arsenal forward Carlos Vela had the opportunity to level matters from the spot however his weak effort was comfortably saved by Sounders shot-stopper Frei.
Peruvian forward Raul Ruidiaz doubled the lead of Sounders six minutes after the hour mark.
Vela tried to inspire a comeback when he teed off team-mate Atuesta to halve the deficit after 77 minutes but their efforts were rubbished three minutes later when Morris put the final nail in the coffin to restore the two goal advantage of Sounders.
Mark Kaye thought he had put the cat among the pigeons but his goal was ruled out for offside by the Video Assistant Referee. With no further goals the match ended 3-1 in favour of the home side.
Latif Blessing, formerly of Liberty Professionals, lasted the entire duration of the game as his side slumped to a three-one defeat.
Blessing was recently linked with a move to Brazilian side Vasco da Gama.
