Ghana’s sole representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup, AshantiGold SC will make a stop over at Navrongo en route to Burkina Faso ahead of their return leg encounter against Salitas, according to a report filed by Kumasi-based media outlet Oyerepa FM.
The Elephants fired blank in their first leg tie at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium and would be hoping to upstage their opponents at their own backyard in the reverse fixture.
Ahead of their second leg tie, the four-time winners of the Ghanaian top flight will travel to Burkina Faso with a 20-man squad by road using Intercity STC.
The Yellow and Blacks will make a stop over at Navrongo, where the team will undergo their Covid-19 Test.
Additionally, the team will train at Navrongo before continuing to Burkina Faso to play Salitas FC over the weekend.
A win for the Obuasi-based outfit will see them seal a spot in the next phase of CAF’s secondary club competition.
