Hearts of Oak legend, Mohammed Polo has sent a word of advice to his former club on how to make the club great again.
The capital-based heavyweights recently re-hired Serbian trainer Kostadin Papic to take over the reigns as head coach of the club as the Phobians eye an end to their eleven-year wait for a league title – which was last won by the aforementioned coach.
The record holders of the Ghanaian FA Cup have developed a ruthless knack for chopping and changing coaches since 2000 averaging 1.2 coaches every season.
Polo, a club legend and former head coach of the Phobians shared his thoughts on the technical direction of the club.
“How long can Hearts keep on trying? They should focus because in everything that you do there are challenges but you should be able to see whether it will take time or not if only you have a vision,” Polo told OTEC FM
“Football is about developing a team. There should be a plan but unfortunately, the team has failed to plan. This is the time we [Hearts] can invest in football and make a lot of money because we have the talent but it looks as if we are not getting it right” He ended.
The oldest exisiting football team in the country will be targeting their first win of the season when they square off against tabletopping Karela United at the Accra Sports stadium this evening.
