Najeeb Yakubu will play at his usual left-wing-back position when FC Vorskla Poltava welcome FC Minaj at home on game week 13 in the Ukrainian Premier league – which will be their last match of the year before they break for two months ahead of the Christmas festivities.
Yakubu’s FC Vorskla Poltava are expecting to return to winning ways after suffering defeats in their last three competitive games – two in the league and one in the FA Cup against Dynamo Kyiv, FK Ahrobiznes Volochysk and FK Desna.
His side, FC Vorskla Poltava are fourth on the league table with 19 points while FC Minaj are currently occupying the eleventh spot on the league log with 9 points in as many games.
The 20-year-old has played in several positions and has been instrumental for coach Jury Maximov’s side.
Yakubu and his teammates will have to arrest their nosedive form to avoid descending further down on the league chart – a loss against FC Minaj on Saturday will see Vorskla drop from the top four in the Ukrainian Premier league for the first time this season.
The match will kick off at midday (Ghanaian time) on 12th December 2020, at the Oleksiy Butovskui Vorskla stadium.
