Najeeb Yakubu was in action for FC Vorskla Poltava in their 1-1 home draw with FC Minaj in the Ukraine Premier league to wrap up the calendar year on Saturday December 12, 2020.
Yakubu who was marking his tenth league start of the season for FC Vorskla Poltava impressed in the match for the hosts.
The now left-wing-back was effective on the flanks for his side making impressive incisive runs with artful skills while marrying his defensive and attacking responsibilities with great effect.
The former Ghana U-17 full back played 70 minutes of the match before being substituted for Ukrainian midfielder Pavlo Rehenok.
Yakubu has so far made 12 league appearances in the Ukrainian Premier league and has not register a goal or assist to his name this season.
Yakubu and his teammates will embark on a two-month Christmas break after their league game yesterday and they will resume on February 13, 2021 which they will traveling to play FC Rukh Vynnyky at Arena L’viv in Vynnyky.
