Aduana Stars defender, Farouk Adams believes Yahaya Mohammed’s return is a major boost to the team ahead of his side’s cliffhanger against capital-based giants Hearts of Oak.
Aduana Stars, two-time winners of the club Premier League were billed to host their illustrious counterparts on match day one however a coronavirus outbreak among the playing body of the latter ensured the game had to be postponed.
Meanwhile, the Ogya Lads have struggled for form this season most especially in the absence of their talismanic goal machine – Yahaya Mohammed – failing to pick a win in four outings.
Playing at their fortress, Nana Agyemang Badu I park, Aduana Stars will aim to bring life to their dying ambitions of clinching their third Ghanaian top flight title.
Sharing his thoughts ahead of their outstanding game against the Phobians, who seem to have rediscovered their form after whitewashing Dreams FC, Farouk Adams iterated:
“We tried our possible best to get a win during Yahaya’s absence but things were difficult for us, so his return will boost the team’s spirit,” Farouk told OTEC FM.
“We created all the chances during our game against Elmina Sharks but scoring was our problem. We will work harder to improve” he ended.
