Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi-based King Faisal Anwar Sadat has debunked widespread reports of the sack of head coach Slavisa Bozicic.
According to a report filed by KUMASI FM, the Management of the Green and Whites handed coach Slavisa Bosivic his sack letter following a string of poor results which was capped by Wednesday’s pummeling at the hands of the Miners.
Slavisa led the Insha Allah boys on 19 occasions, losing 11, drawing seven and won claiming a solitary victory during his stint with King Faisal.
However, according to the Chief Executive Officer of the club the Serbian trainer remains at post and will lead the Green and Whites on Saturday when they face Hearts of Oak.
“Slavisa Bozicic remains the head coach and head of the technical team to take us to play against Hearts of Oak on Saturday,” Sadat told OTEC FM
“The news that was going around was a rumor. The technical team trained the players today and they will be handling the team against Hearts of Oak” He added
Slavisa would have become the third coaching casualty in the five-game old Ghana Premier League following the sack of Goran Barjakteravic of Legon Cities and Hesse Odamtten of Berekum Chelsea.
According to reports gaining roots in the local media landscape former All Blacks, Elmina Sharks and Berekum Chelsea Coach Andy Sinason will be appointed in the coming days.
