‘The Best’ Razak Abalora Not Afraid Of Competition At Kotoko

Black Stars and Asante Kotoko shot-stopper Razak Abalora is unfazed about the stern competition in the goalkeeping department at his current club.

Abalora joined Asante Kotoko, record holders of the Ghanaian top flight, ahead of the ongoing season and had to wait till last Sunday to mark his competitive debut for the Porcupine Warriors.

The former West Africa Football Academy and Azam FC safest pair of hands is in a stern competition with fan favourite and club captain Felix Annan, Black Meteors goalie Kwame Baah and Black Satellites custodian Ibrahim Danlad.

“I will give my all for Asante Kotoko SC but can not at the moment reveal my target”The supporters should be well assured that I will give hundred per cent anytime am called up” he told online portal Ghanasportscenter.com.

“Competition is healthy and I love challenge but when you are the best, you’re the best definitely”, he added.

Razak Abalora Speaking expressed delight after inspiring his side to yet another victory and excited for a clean sheet.

“I’m grateful to God Almighty for helping me with this opportunity, the feeling was very great taking charge of the goal post against Dreams FC, we needed this win badly to boast our morale for the campaign”I felt great especially when the final whistle was blown and that we have won at Dawu”

He added by touching on his secret that led to his outstanding performance in his debut game;

“Persistent training is the magic, have being working hard for this day to come and I thank the coaching staff for believing in me, giving me the chance to show what I can do for club”.

The Black Stars glovesman is hoping to continue his splendid performance when his outfit come up against Al Hilal of Sudan in the CAF Champions League first leg which is scheduled to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium come this afternoon.

“Every season, I set targets and priorities but I can not let it all to the public but definitely we do my best so the coaches will have confidence in me”And hopefully I will offer my best to the club.”
