Ghanaian enterprising centre-back Bright Gyamfi lasted the entire duration for AC Reggiana in their 3-0 away defeat against Pordenone Calcio in the Italian Serie B on Wednesday.
The defender, who has been a key member of the Italian lower tier side since joining in the summer transfer window as a free agent.
Davide Djily Diaw scored the first goal in the 21st minute before Roberto Zammarini doubled the lead twenty-one minutes later.
In the 52nd minute Patrick Ciurria scored the third goal of the match to seal the win for Pordenone Calcio.
Gyamfi was operating from the right-centre-back in their 3-5-2 formation for Coach Massimiliano Alvini side that considered 3 goals at the back of defense.
A.C. Reggiana finished the game with 10 men after their goalie Michele Cerofolini was sent off in the 80th minute of the game when he was shown a red card.
The defeat was Gyamfi’s A.C. Reggiana second consecutive loss for them to wrap up the year 2020.
A.C. Reggiana currently sit on 16th position on the league table with 15 points after 15 matches played which Gyamfi has featured 9 times this season.
Gyamfi is yet to earn a call-up for the senior men’s national team – Black Stars.
