Eric Ofori Antwi, Medeama’s safest pair of hands will miss the cliffhanger between the Yellow and Mauves and Aduana Stars at the Akoon park this afternoon in the Ghana Premier League.
Eric, who has remained the club’s No. 1 goalie for Medeama since joining the club from Asante Kotoko would miss the game against Aduana Stars due to illness according to a post by the club on Twitter.
Medeama, considered as title favourites by bookmakers ahead of the start of the ongoing Ghana Premier League, have staggered in their display mustering a single win in as many games played.
Despite the vibe around the team considering the cash injection by Goldfields and the return of midfield kingpin Justice Blay, the two-time MTN FA Cup winners are yet to pick a win at home and would hope to hit the ground running against Aduana Stars.
However, they would have to play without former Black Satellites shot-stopper Eric Ofori Antwi in the titanic encounter with Frank Boateng, formerly of Ashgold would act in the stead of Antwi.
The club have also signed former Asante Kotoko forward Ahmed Toure and he is expected to improve the goal scoring rate for the club starting this afternoon against the Dormaa-based club.
