Plying his trade for Sogakope-based Ghana Premier League outfit WAFA – a club esteemed in churning out top talents in leaps and bounds at rampant rapidity – Augustine Boakye has rose to the ilk of Majeed Ashimeru and Gideon Waja raking in staggering numbers that can be matched by prime Mesut Ozil.
In the eleven-game old Ghana Premier League, Awako has hogged the headlines yet per statistics the WAFA prodigy has garnered the most goal contribution in the Ghanaian top flight.
He was in top shape when his side demolished Dansoman-based outfit Liberty Professionals at the Red Bull Arena, which has now become a slaughterhouse and a humiliating grounds for disgracing other top flight teams which includes Ashgold and the oldest exisiting football club in the country.
