Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School graduate Seedorf Afful Asante made his first ever match appearance for Liberty Professionals in their away defeat in the Ghanaian top-flight on Sunday afternoon.

His maiden appearance however ended in tears as Liberty Professionals suffered a 5-0 defeat to WAFA at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope.

A brace from Konadu Yiadom and a goal each from Marvin Owusu, Sampson Agyapomg and Augustine Boakye handed WAFA all the needed three points.

The midfielder has been described as a clone of former Ghanaian international Sulley Muntari due to his height, touches on the ball and shooting abilities.

He operated from the right side of midfield in the 4-4-2 formation under coach David Ocloo, where he lasted for 50 minutes of the game as Stanley Aniagyei Ampaw replaced him.

The results means Liberty Professionals have dropped into the relegation battle with 10 points in as many games played.

Asante joined Liberty from Osei Kyeretwie Senior high School, where he excelled during the 2019/2020 Ashanti Region Inter School Soccer Competition last year.

He was instrumental in the OKESS School team that lost in the semi-finals against the winners of the competition Kumasi High school.

The Scientific Soccer lads will host Aduana Stars at the Alhaji Sly Tetteh Park in Dansoman on the Midweek league fixture after going for Four Consecutive games without a win in the Ghana Premier League.
