Ebusua Dwarfs recorded an all important win at home when they played Ashantigold at the Cape Coast stadium.
Dwarfs, were winless at home in their last three games, losing two and drawing the other. However, they were in their best form to trash that record on midweek as they beat Ashantigold by two goals to one.
Dennis Korsah-Akoumah set the ball rolling just before the half-time whistle. The goal was the 24-year-old’s first goal of the 2020/21 campaign.
Hans Kwofie drew the Miners levelled in the 75th minute but their joy was short-lived as George Asamoah restored Dwarfs’ lead two minutes later.
The defeat was Ashgold’s second in their last four games, having also lost to Legon Cities two match-days ago.
Dwarfs are now into 11th place on the league table with 16 points and face Inter Allies in their next game while the Obuasi-based club face struggling Liberty Professionals in their next fixture.
