The playing body of capital-based outfit Accra Hearts of Oak have oppose the new bonus structure proposed by head coach Kosta Papic, according to a report filed by Kumasi-based media outlet Oyerepa FM.
It would be recalled that on the back of the side’s defeat to city rivals Great Olympics in the Mantse Derby, news broke about the intentions of the club to motivate the playing body introducing a new bonus structure.
Per the new structure players in the starting XI who play full throttle will get a bigger share of the bonus while there will be a decrease when the player is substituted.
Furthermore, a player that comes from bench gets his amount increased while an unused substitute will get lesser bonus.
However, management of the Phobians have put on hold the implementation of this new proposal which was expected to start from today against Medeama at the Akoon park.
Also, bonuses owed players have been settled.
The Phobians will hope to return to winning ways against ‘bogey’ side Medeama SC – who suffered a two-nil loss to Karela United – after suffering a painful loss to ‘noisy neighbours’ Great Olympics.
