Asante Kotoko center half Ismail Abdul Ganiu has cautioned his former side Karela United ahead of the Porcupine Warriors’ game week 13 clash against the Pride and Passion over the weekend.

The cool-headed guardsman had previously spent time with Wa All Stars (now Legon Cities) and Karela United before switching to Asante Kotoko – where he has become an integral member of coach Johnson Smith’s side.

The ball playing central defender has been in tremendous amount of form marshalling the defense of Asante Kotoko and it comes as little to no surprise the Kumasi-based heavyweights boast of the best defensive record in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Ahead of Kotoko’s game against league leaders Karela United at the dreaded Crosby Awuah Memorial park, Ismail Ganiu is upbeat about the chances of his side getting the better of his former employees.

Ganiu is not far from right having seen his club beat Legon Cities earlier in the season and argues Asante Kotoko will mastermind the downfall of Karela United.

Bragging about his formidable record against his former side’s, Abdul Ganiu took to his official Twitter account to issue a caution to Karela United – who have recorded 100 per cent home wins in the 2020-2021 Ghana Premier League.
