The only outstanding game of the Ghana Premier League match-day 13 was played on Tuesday at the Techiman park.
The game involved King Faisal and Tarkwa side Medeama, with the Kumasi-based club snatching a late goal to walk away with all three points.
Both teams started on a good note in the first 45 minutes, creating chances and causing a few shaky moments but were unlucky to find the back of the net.
King Faisal made five changes to the side that lost to Accra Great Olympics in their previous league game with Kaisan Yuisu, Mutawakilu Fuseini,Kwame Bwoakyi and Kwadwo Frimpong all returning into the starting line up while Zubairu Ibrahim was handed his first start of the campaign.
Ofori Antwi of Medeama denied Kwame Peprah in the fourth minute of the game after the forward saw his header saved by the keeper.
Andy Sinason’s side were also denied a penalty in the latter stages of the first half when Zubairu Ibrahim was brought down in the box.
In the second half, King Faisal continued to press for the opener and were fortunate to go past Ofori Antwi this time around in the 90th minute through Kwame Peprah.
That goal was the striker’s eight goal of the 2020/21 season but the league table remains unchanged as Faisal keep their place in the relegation zone.
